Success factors
Long Harbour, a specialized real estate investment, development, and management firm, operates lean—just around 100 employees—while shouldering heavy accountability to investors. As Head of Systems & Digital Transformation, Ruchit Gupta-Chaudary faced a formidable challenge: unify the company’s scattered data and turn it into actionable insights, without building an entire in-house data practice from scratch.
Long Harbour approached Biztory for help. They sought not just a vendor, but a data center of excellence to become an extension of its team. With limited internal capacity, Long Harbour outsourced much of its data practice to Biztory—effectively making Biztory the backbone behind its analytics efforts.

Launching with “Golden Standard” Dashboards
The collaboration began by creating a set of foundational dashboards—“golden standard” to answer the most critical business questions. Tableau was chosen as the analytics tool due to its speed of deployment, flexibility in exploration, and strong community support. These dashboards gave executives and investors a clear, trusted window into business performance.
Evolving Infrastructure for Scalability
As demands for insight grew, the data architecture evolved. Long Harbour moved toward consolidating all data into Snowflake, with ingestion powered by Fivetran. This enabled linking systems like HubSpot (notoriously hard to extract data from) into a unified data mart.
Examples include automated internal financial reporting (shrinking days of manual work to minutes), investor feedback dashboards, and customizable sales pipeline overviews. These tools illuminated trends, surfaced anomalies, and offered executives new levers for decision-making.

"Long Harbour can now claim to be one of the most data-driven Asset Management firms, using data to punch above their weight class, all the while having a lean operation."

Growing trust, expanding roles
The project unfolded iteratively: as dashboards were rolled out, new questions emerged, leading to fresh iterations and expansions. Biztory became more than a vendor—it became a strategic sounding board for Ruchit and his leadership team.
The collaboration deepened such that Long Harbour could claim to be among the most data-driven asset management firms operating with a lean team.
Lean operation, big insights
Even during the pandemic, all development and deployment happened remotely and at pace. Outsourcing the data function allowed Long Harbour to stay light on overhead while still delivering high-value insights.
For Ruchit, the partnership elevated his role internally—and made data a defining strength for the company.
