A Growing league, a growing need for data
By 2023, the Global Champions League had grown into a world-class series spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Yet behind the broadcast was a surprisingly manual operation: fragmented Google Sheets, multiple disconnected tools, and no central platform to manage or analyze data.
There was a clear opportunity to take things to the next level, but the challenges were real:
- No data warehouse
- No ETL solution
- No Tableau Cloud
- No architecture — and no time to maintain one
Frederik needed more than just tooling — he needed a partner who could bring order, insight, and immediacy without creating technical debt. And all of this had to happen on a tight budget, with immediate business impact.

In 2016, Frederik took his passion a step further and founded Conceptosaurus, a one-man company with a clear mission: to elevate equestrian sports analysis through data. As the Global Champions League — the team-based competition within the LGCT — expanded, so too did the need for more structured, insightful data support behind the scenes.
Accelerating the BI & Analytics journey with modern tools
Biztory and Conceptosaurus partnered to bring a visionary data solution to life through a phased, user-centric approach. In the first phase, they prioritized clarity and live usability by delivering no-code, low-maintenance tools designed for immediate, practical impact. One highlight was the “Team Cheat Sheets,” which gave instant access to key insights. Far from just a dashboard, the solution acted like an on-air co-commentator—intuitive, accessible, and purpose-built for storytelling.
Phase 2 was all about scaling the platform with a modern data stack infrastructure based on 3 key technologies:
- Rivery: was implemented as the ETL layer — flexible, well-supported, and budget-friendly
- Snowflake: became the data warehouse — enabling consistency, scalability, and clean data management
- Tableau: dashboards were embedded into Conceptosaurus' day-to-day setup, ensuring insights were always within reach
"Biztory brought the right blend of pragmatism, creativity, and speed to help Conceptosaurus go from idea to impact in record time. With intuitive dashboards, smart integrations, and scalable architecture, Biztory helped transform data into one of the tour’s most compelling storytellers.”

Key outcomes and impact
As the use of data matured, so did the ambition. Biztory helped Conceptosaurus expand the dashboard portfolio with even more storytelling firepower:
- Rider insights dashboard: A highly interactive dashboard featuring maps, tables, and personalized views. By selecting a rider on the map, commentators can instantly zoom in on relevant stats, filtered for that individual — perfect for adding color to live broadcasts
- Super Cup dashboard: A dedicated dashboard for standalone Super Cup events. It captures stats across up to six dynamic visualizations, allowing users to zoom in on specific events for deep, event-specific analysis — ideal for both commentary and recap coverage.
What started as a spreadsheet has become a professional-grade data solution embedded in one of the world’s premier equestrian leagues. Today, Conceptosaurus benefits from:
- Instant access to curated, story-rich dashboards
- Personalized insights for each rider and event
- A maintainable, scalable infrastructure without overhead
- Tools that enhance, rather than interrupt, the flow of storytelling
Conceptosaurus doesn’t just report on the sport. It raises the bar for how the sport is understood — and enjoyed.
