Driving innovation with Embedded Analytics
Before their project with Biztory, GC America faced a significant data challenge. Their executive and sales teams relied on static, manually-generated reports to track business performance. This process was time-consuming and often resulted in outdated information, scattered across different systems like Salesforce (for sales) and a Fluent SQL database (for operational data).
The lack of a single, real-time source of truth made it difficult to make quick, data-driven decisions and identify key trends. The need was clear: to bridge the gap between their data and their decision-makers.

The solution: embedded Tableau analytics on Salesforce
To solve this, Biztory implemented a fully integrated Tableau+ analytics solution. The core of our approach was to seamlessly embed interactive Tableau dashboards directly into the Salesforce Lightning environment. This allowed GC America's teams to access critical data and insights without ever leaving their daily workflow.
The solution delivered two key tools:
- Executive KPI Dashboard: A comprehensive, single-source-of-truth dashboard for C-level executives. It provides a real-time overview of business performance by blending data from both Salesforce (e.g., pipeline value) and the Fluent SQL database (e.g., operational metrics).
- Sales Performance Tracker: A highly interactive dashboard for sales leadership and reps. It focuses on the sales pipeline, team performance, and results, providing a 360-degree view from lead to revenue, all powered by Salesforce CRM data.
To ensure fast access, we used live connections to Salesforce for up-to-the-minute updates and scheduled extracts for the Fluent database. The dashboards were also optimized for both desktop and mobile access, ensuring key insights are available anytime, anywhere.
The process: embedded analytics accelerator
The project was a success thanks to a clear, agile Embedded Analytics Accelerator methodology. By structuring the implementation in phases, using two-week sprints to design, develop, and deploy functionalities, we ensured continuous progress and the flexibility to adapt to feedback.
A key factor for success was the collaborative spirit of the GC America team, which included a database expert, a Salesforce expert, and a project manager. Their expertise and willingness to work together created a powerful partnership. A notable challenge was the time difference between our base in Belgium and GC America in Chicago. We overcame this by being flexible and available for meetings in the evenings to ensure smooth communication and progress.
We were also proud to deliver more than was originally scoped. We created the entire data model in Tableau Desktop and integrated visit data from sales representatives, empowering GC America not only with dashboards but also with the foundation to build and analyze future data sets independently.
